I assume this may be the source of his bad luck week:

Great song! Ik like it at least as much as the original Bauhaus stuff and the voice sounds as powerful and biting as it did then.

Unless there's a really good reason, I can't give more than 5/10 to a song with synth violin.

This has been my ringtone for years.  I was afraid it would make me hate the song ... but I still crank it up when I hear it anywhere (except on my phone)

Discovered this tune when I was "coming into my own" in Boston.  This straight guy discovered Manray night club in Cambridge.  Once I got past the discomfort pf being in a gay club, I realized, "these people" know damn good music.  Pretty sure I discovered the music of Peter Murphy in that club.  Then when I started traveling for work, I would seek out all the gay haunts in every town because I knew it would be interesting and fun and I actually made friends so now "some of my best friends are gay".  Oh that sounds terrible.  But anyway, Manray, Peter Murphy ... great memories.

Nice disc- nice change from Bauhaus - good for its time - a wee bit dated, but nice.

My first car (back in blighty) was an X1/9 (which made a disastrous exit from the US), it was madder than a bag of cats; I span it more than once and absolutely loved it.
Teeny tiny 'b' roads + teeny tiny roller skate you sit in + summer = F U N.
I still love the teeny tiny revvy basteard fiats, I wish I had a 500 Abarth, they are absurdly expensive in NZ.
Like most Italian machinery love affairs it defies logic, you either hate it or you love it. My first bike was a Ducati and I absolutely hated that.

Love

Were there any non-crappy Fiat's?  Granted, in the US the only experience we have had with them is a disastrous exit from the US auto market in 1984.  Nearly 20 years later, most non-car people here have forgotten that Fiat even exists.  At least until the thing with Chrysler and their not-so-attractive 500's return to the US.

Did this one live in Madrid last October but semi accoustically having 5 minutes previously had a good old bust up with his bass player in front of all and sundry (never to be seen again!) - great showman, grossly under rated imho - would love to hear his latest stuff on here too if possible.  Love how he has kept going keeping some of his original feistiness together with some great tunes.  I think his supreme self confidence/arrogance  is great too - he's good and he knows it and why not!

Just saw PM a week ago in Vancouver. Really good show, but only barely over an hour long because of the stupid club he was in turns into a disco at 10:30.
