I second that comment: His work before the mid-1970s was gobsmacking.

All these years and STILL a solid 10!  Regardless of his personal idiosynchronies, he was/is one hell of a talented musician!

Here here Bill, well said!  Can't count the number of raised eyebrows I've encountered when telling people my favourite music includes Elton John, but absolutely ONLY the early stuff!  Let's have more, how about Levon, Skyline Pigeon, Sweet Painted Lady .......?

wow, that sucks. I hope they both die in a fire!

It takes a really unfeeling and clueless scumbag to steal someone's husband/wife and then parade around about it. (Talk about calling down the Karma Gods...)

I speak from experience.

As I mentioned before-

Fire

Burn!

Totally forgot about this song.  THANK YOU for playing it.  Reminded me that is it simply one of the best songs of all times.  Operatic in nature, rock at its heart.

That person wasn't your friend, they were a predator.

And you can't saddle a horse that won't stand still. You're well shed of them both.

Let them see you laughing and enjoying life. They both know what the other one is. Selah. Smile

We maxed out on our primary contribution and wound up 6th row just right of center for the EJ Hillary Clinton Fund Raiser at Radio City Music Hall.  EJ was slightly to the right so we had the best seats in the house.  Hillary, Bill and Chelsea were in the center two rows behind us.  He was King of Manhattan and an absolute mind blower.  All solo and amazing.  This is my fave EJ ever.

I have seen EJ do this live probably 10 times (including when GYBR was on the charts), and he has knocked it out of the ballpark every time.

Whenever this comes on, I run for my guitar....since around age 15, I've been able to play the guitar parts note-for-note.  Only a fellow guitar player would understand this!
