Yeah, that's a great lesson for our kids.  Paint something, then 100 years after you are dead some fool spends a fortune on your work.

Education is much more than training servants for the corporate lords. Knowing how to induce aesthetic experiences is more valuable than money!

Wow, that's pretty bitter. Having a hard time flogging your paintings?

I think it sounds like Dire Straights with someone else singing....I prefer JJ Cale's version, tbh
Dire Straights sounds like a real bad place to go sailing :)

No Dire Straits , no Mark Knopfler. Song was originally performed by JJ Cale, back in ...1979( ?).
Dire Straits or Mark Knopfler with other singer...

I prefer the live version on "light fuse and get away" which is a solid 9! This one only gets a 7.

Hannah's Buddies 2012

Hello Travelers,
Our thanks go out to all of the participants and volunteers joining forces in Orlando for this year's upcoming 13th annual Hannah's Buddies Charity Ball, silent auction, and golf "tournament." Thanks also to those donating items for the auction. Some of these can be previewed here, along with written descriptions of other kind donations for this event.

Two things we need to mention: Registration for the golf is full, but a reduced donation of $125 dollars dollars will allow those shut out of the golf to participate in the silent auction (concert ticket included). Also, if you have a last minute item you have been meaning to donate for the auction, we need to receive it by Tues., March 27 at this address: Hannah's Buddies c/o The Elliotts / 719 S. Orleans Ave. / Tampa, FL 33606. Please include a suggested value/starting bid so we can honor your donation appropriately.

Thank you all! See you on the 30th and 31st.
