Oh, the memories that come clanking back with the beat of that exquisitely FUNKY BASS...me and a gal from the town I was distractedly studying Engineering in used to try to get as high and Zen-like as our cats and laze around with this and a few of his other early records on the stereo for hours on end...fun stuff!

Is that 8/10, as in eight-tenths, as in 0.8? In that case, I agree.

I'll have to check it out. But my comment stands. "Good Stuff" on Reality - Sure, but Scary Monsters still stands as the end of an era in all things Bowie. Truly one of my favorite artists, especially in my youth.

Enjoyed Reality, and Heathen before it even more.  Saw him 5 times over the last couple of tours.  But I have to agree with everything horstman says about Scary Monsters being the end of an era..

Whoa, kurtster, I think you've probably missed out on a lot of really great Bowie music over the years. Personally, I don't think his best stuff made it to many radio playlists. For me, quite a few of his albums took several listens to grasp or get comfortable with, all worth the effort, though.
Just my 2 cents!

absolutely true.  MOST of Bowie is like that.  His latest which I believe is called Reality is a very good album.

Bowie is pretty cool with lots of great tracks.

Seems that after Ziggy though, I didn't find the albums listenable all the way through.  It wasn't worth spending hard earned bucks for a couple of tracks, especially when it was on the radio all the time.
