That's because those fellas can actually play instruments. That singer, he can't sing, no sir. But he does sing the same way in every song. The bright side: Cake has pretty much become a PSDer every time. (Forrest secretly wants some Cake. More fool him). |

I don't get Cake. They sound bland or "average", nothing special. And the vocalist is a bit droning. Their sound isn't bad but there is just so much more music out there to choose from.

I find myself in a conundrum when it comes to this song.
I love Cake, and I love this song... have for a long time.
However, due to some bridge construction, a "Long Line of Cars" is my afternoon and morning commute (I work 6pm to 6am in IT for a solar panel manufacturer) sometime around 5:15pm and around 6:30 or 7am two or three days a week. I really don't want to think about this song every time I hit that construction zone... I'd hate to ruin what is a fantastic song.
