after a few slow songs....when Bill is playing a depressing line up, my boyfriend and I joke that Bill must be bi-polar and/or is hitting the scotch in his california studio.  This playlist is such a time when I wonder, Bill? Are you okay?

Y'all do know that Alan Parsons was the engineer on Dark Side Of The Moon, right?

All this "it sounds like Pink Floyd" or "it sounds like Alan Parsons" is moot. It sounds like both of them.

But particularly Alan Parsons Project because the breathy vocals sound so much like Eric Woolfson, who sang many of APP's songs.

actually one of my favorite albums... the whole thing just flows very well together, and just has a great atmosphere/aura to it all. 'tis quite the shame that they broke up.

that being said... i'm royally peeved that i was on a work call when this song came on!

more Beta Band Bill!!

I love these guys, good to hear 'em. I don't think of pink but most of their other big songs don't sound quite like this.

Whoa, totally! Hadn't thought of that but very true, at least in the case of this tune.

You'd think they'd be out of Beta by now. Maybe they are like ICQ? Forever a Beta ap. . .

Agreed. And like most of what I heard from Alan Parsons Project, this doesn't do a whole heckuva lot for me.

Bill, that transition from the Devics Lie to me in this was sweet and silky smooth. You're a genius.
