How dare I rate this a 9! WTF was wrong with me? I've corrected the mistake and now have it rated an appropriate "GodLike". |

Great to hear people giving Al Kooper plaudits . . . this whole album is classic after classic . . . even the barnyard-animal-sound filled "House in the Country".
"I love you BABY . . . Well ALRIGHT!" . . . if you don't know, let me tell you one more time . . . I LOVE YOU!

1st time I've ever heard this band. At first I thought it was Mick Hucknall from Simply Red. Good stuff.

I'm bumping this to a 9 for the sheer passion and excellent musicianship and craftsmanship of this song. Even more than that, the production and clarity of recording rivals the digital recordings of today. SO clean.

Bozo wrote:The coolest thing about this song is that it dedicates the "well all right" at the end to Janis Joplin (San Francisco) Another band that deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame: groundbreaking!!! Al Kooper started the groove with Blues Project and then took it to BST: too bad DCT didn't get the intent right. I am fortunate to own at least 9 Al Kooper albums. Outstanding!!! DCT killed any interest I had in BS&T. I still love this album. |

If there had never been a BST and, say, the Black Keys had released this song last year, it would sound new. This is an amazing arrangement. It just doesn't age.

I have not heard this album, or any cut on it, since college. Man, what a blast from the past.
It's things like this that keep me sending a few bucks to RP.
