Good old 80s Drum-Machines :D
Its fun to hear every 10 years, but I'd not call it a "good" song :)

And that's bad? HOW?!?!? Your icon says it all. I give it a 10; just because it's
MY perogative - and it's a great set. |

Kind of like the Herbie Hancock tune where he did the first 'record scratching' turntable thingee. That's why Ken Burns put it on the Jazz CD compilation for his documentary. Nothing special now, but at the time.... it made history.
I beleive that talking heads and Tom Tom are dated as ever. Actually the passagge of time will bring them back into more perspective. |

The synth percussion/fake clap noise sure keeps it stuck in the 80s...I liked it back then, but it doesn't seem very timeless now.

When I think Tom Tom club, I think Tina Weymouth, therefore I want to like it for little more reason than I enjoyed watching her up there plugging away looking cute an unassuming behind Byrne's antics in the Talking Heads. But there really isn't much going on in this song is there?

This is a different mix of this song than I usually hear; not quite as driving, but still acceptable. |
