This song always puts me into an instant groove-meditation state. We use the extended play version as phone hold music at our company. Love the reaction we get from our customers.

So next time you hear it, please don't think "oh, what a wonderful bed time lullaby", and please don't put your kids to bed with it, if you have any...

I think they meant wonderful memories of this song and its melody, probably not the presumed implications of its lyrical content. Your interpretation of the lyrics (though astute) is not necessarily the definitive one - not unless you're Robert Smith. |

I was aware of The Cure in the 80's but I obviously never really was listening...
because I'm hearing a much much better band than I ever realized then.
Guess I was too busy at the time with other things on my mind.
I have since learned that "being too busy"... is overrated.
