I remember back in the day an interview with him where he said his "genre" is 60's music because that's what he likes and he's not apologizing for it. He was used to hearing criticism for it.

Goodbye Jumbo was one of the best albums of the day, and was a terrific way to kick off the 90s (in my book) compared to the whole grunge movement. Too bad it was virtually ignored.
