The Tom Robinson Band does a "Radio Paradise friendly" version of this Dylan Classic!
Give it a whirl

Sorry Bill, but that is G.E. Smith on lead guitar with Steve Cropper on rhythm, Donald "Duck" Dunn on bass. also a little known fact Sheryl Crow is one of the back-up singer's. Oh Yea Booker T on Key's

>>>>Helpful to know. Makes me appreciate it even more.

Oh, this is wonderful. I've never heard it before. Chrissie brings it home and keeps it real.

I love the original and this is a very worthy cover. Go Chrissie!      {#Jump}

There's another great version of this on The Band's The Last Waltz. Classic--and classy--tune.

Dylan, yes. Yep, great tune. Beaten to death, which is why I fling the headphones away whenever this comes on.

Richard Manuel's version can't be topped in my mind. I'm not trying to sound sexist but this song sounds better sung by a man. Know what I mean?

Its funny how so many songs that folks might call "bilge" have high rankings and numerous good comments. Perhaps that might suggest that lots of folks don't think this is bilge.

Using the "lots of folks like it" argument is dangerous and doesn't really mean much. Lots of folks like Britney Spears for example.

This song is nice, but it is a pretty mediocre rendition of this song and a poor sample of Chrissy Hynde's repertoire.

I kind of like Bob Dylan's original. Or maybe it was a cover of the Band's rendition of his tune. With the band.

Either way, its a great tune.

I think the original by the Band is far superior to this overblown version. Oh well, tribute stuff usually doesn't measure up....
