uhm...if it really sounded much better on a good and correctly set up record player, you wouldn't need a dark room.

Correction .. not "saw" them live.

"Heard" them live in Hyde Park London at midnight during Live8.. wasn't a fan before. But as said. if you wnat to feel what is like to have heaven looking down at you... try it.. long may they live.

BTW.  Listening using a RaspberryPi Linux system for $35 but plugged into a big HiFi thru a nice DAC.  The RP feed is fantastic quality!

Better than vinyl.

I've got to admit, that is a cool use for for a RasberryPi. You've started me wondering how cheap you could go on the digital part of the h/w to receive RP (or any inferior internet radio stations if that floats your boat) without losing any of the data. You've set an interesting challenge at $35.

..back to the music, and yes, a classic, though for me it sounds best listening to the album as a whole rather than extracting idividual tracks.

Of course we've heard it too many times, but that does not diminish its awesomeness in the least.

No pepper, no salt - neither fish nor flesh! Instead  ummagumma-blubber for codein-freaks,

Music for the latest "Kuschelrock-23" CD -  as if the past 40 years had never existed!

UNHEARABLE in my opinion!

FLOYD without Barret is a joke!

Fourty-eight 1's can't lie! Waiting for a brass-, or skiffle version of the entire album!

Odd that some people can't distinguish "synthie" music from drums, bass, guitar and electric piano.

Ahh music - it's not for everyone.

That woman at the end is AMAZING.  I'm guessing she's black- with a voice that reaches to the heavens!  Still loving this 40 years later.
