At my first rock concert (Trooper, Vancouver BC) this album was played while waiting for the show. I was hooked and bought it next day.
Husband and I still love the album.

Interesting.  This is catchy.  Never became fond of the Talking Heads.

Mrs Poacher collects original (well, originally printed) Vargas images like on the cover. I approve and encourage as much as I am able.

I can still remember how it felt to take the album out of the sleave and put it on the turntable. For you see, I was 6 and it was the first time I was allowd to play a record by myself. I also think it was the first time I consciously knew I liked girls.

That guitar solo just RIPS IT!  I mean, WOW! it goes way out along the edge of things at light-speed and then seamlessly turns back into the song again, and after all these years, I STILL never want it to end...timeless brilliance and verve from creative genius at its peak (and from a time in my life when I sure needed and appreciated it) — thanks, RP!

That seems to be a '72 Ferrari 365 GTC4 that she's on the hood of. I can't believe anyone would let that happen.
It is a cool thing though. Ferrari's are the best.

When this album came out the 365 GTC4 was a nice used car, not like the stupid speculator money that they cost now.

I must be old, looked at the car first on the cover.

I agree...this song, this tape, this band was playing in my '70 Cutlass almost every day the entire summer of '79! Rippingly good music!

I am also happy to attest that their new album shows they can and do still Move Like This!  Put it on and turn it way up!  How invigorating it feels to be jamming to The Cars again like a crazed teen who can't get enough!  YEAH!

The original Cars, minus Ben Orr sadly, are coming back with a new album this Spring called "Move Like This."  The release date is May 5, 2011 and song samples are available on The Cars' Facebook page.  They sound damned good!!!

LOL...this album came out while I was in college and this is the first time I have noticed the car.  Funny how age changes perceptions.  On second though, I am scaring myself.

From a time when album artwork served a purpose. I remember picking up "The Wall" just because of the cover. Little did I know what was inside would change my life. This cover could easily serve more than one purpose. {#Bananajam}

Fantastic Song!  Always fun to play live with a band if you could pull it off, just have each additional band member adding their vocals as the song builds near the end and CRANK the volume up.  Of course we always struggled with how to end it.  Can't really do the fade out ending live...
