How weird - I was listening to this song, and when he hit that high note, my wine glass shattered. Damn. It was a hand-painted glass with a very expensive Cabernet that went all over my keyboard. Suddenly, I hate Peter Gabriel, unless he visits this forum and feels obligated to replace my wine glass and that bottle of Cabernet.

I loves me my Peter Gabriel... {#Cheers}

Am I letting comments colour my judgment? No, this is the first PG number I don't like.

Well, I remember when I saw Bruce Springsteen without knowing that it is the custom for the audience to yell BRUUUUUUUUUUCE throughout the whole thing, even before he takes the stage. I wondered why they were booing him, especially when he hadn't even done anything yet. Yes, the show started a little late, but was it worth all that fuss? Then I was like, "Oh, duh."

Look right above this column, to the right, it allows "sharing" with others via sundry (okay, two) forms of electronic media.  Just sayin'.  {#Angel}

IMHO the only sin you can pin on Phil Collins is a lack of imagination—on the scale of Gabriel's. Otherwise, he's a great drummer and vocalist. You didn't see Banks and Rutherford run for cover, no?

Wish I saw this live. The DVD is amazing. Got to see him when he did his UP tour, and though excellent, it wasn't the same magic as Secret World. But he's still a musical hero of mine, and will always be.

Perhaps the best song on the CD ... dark and evocative, and absolutely weeping with emotion.  {OOPS!  Comment applies to the studio version on US.}

OK, this version weeps with emotion, too, despite the audience's constant attempts to ruin the mood.

"Is that a dagger or a crucifix I see, held so tightly in your hand?"  Either can stab deeply into one's heart.

It seems to me that PG is one of those artists that gets criticized for being successful - almost like it's his fault that the mainstream found his music appealing and that somehow has turned off the purists who want to remember the avant-garde and artsy PG.  But, like all relevant artists you have to change or die.  Why do we criticize artists by saying they have "gone commercial?" Is there something wrong with wanting your music to be heard by more then just a cult following?

the criticism is generally from people possessing a MILLIONTH of his talent...

I doubt he'd even notice...
