Dull and monotonous. In every other way it's not too bad.

Could use a few more repetitions of "someday you're gonna shine"...

I counted 20 Cracker cuts on RP's playlist, but not a single one of their debut?!?!?  I just don't get it.  I remember playing this thing non-stop as I drove around the Northeast in the fall of '92, and there's at least 4 or 5 (near) classics on it.

  1. "Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now)" - 4:31
  2. "Happy Birthday to Me" - 3:29
  3. "This is Cracker Soul" - 3:38
  4. "I See the Light" - 5:11
  5. "St. Cajetan" - 5:22
  6. "Mr. Wrong" - 4:34
  7. "Someday" - 3:19
  8. "Can I Take My Gun to Heaven?" - 3:59
  9. "Satisfy You" - 3:27
  10. "Another Song About the Rain" - 5:46
  11. "Don't Fuck Me Up (With Peace and Love)" - 3:08
  12. "Dr. Bernice" - 6:20

I absolutely loved Cracker up until (but including) Gentleman's Blues and then somehow they lost their spark for me. They are still great performers, but somehow the lyrics/songs lacked the intensity and playfulness of the "old" Cracker. This album in particular is one of my favorites. Don't F me up is a great, great song, in fact, the whole album is so, so good!{#High-five}

I see they finally added "Happy Birthday", but "I See The Light" is still untapped.  I like that cut too, but I'd rather hear "Can I Take My Gun To Heaven" if I had a choice.

Let's Hear Either Of 'Em!

Unlike say Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence (which you gave a 10). Or U2's Sunday Bloody Sunday (9).

It's repetitive if you don't like it.

It's a groove if you do.

One of the best things about living in Charleston SC is that Cracker plays at the Windjammer every summer...

Check out David Lowery in his youth in the band Camper Van Beethoven.  The album Key Lime Pie is a masterpiece.

Errrm... You'll be a russian acrobat?  You'll be like Burt Bacharach?  I think that's relatively creative.

Mercy. Decent song just begging for some lyrical creativity.
