I love the Beta Band. Their self titled album is for those that like the weird syncopation stuff, but Hot Shots II is much more accessible, while keeping the mellow/weird esthetic of this song and much of their stuff.

I'm extremely happy to be shown interesting different stuff like this. I like the Beta Band, and I had no idea this was them. Reminds me a bit of the odd experimental styles of XTC. I couldn't give it a high rating cause it doesn't knock my socks off, but I'm still glad to hear it now and again. Makes me want to go get a Beta Band CD.

I'm all for syncopation and filddling with measure boundaries, but it's gotta work. This one only partially works. No one said it was easy.
