I agree with the previous posts on this....I prefer them separate, but then why join the crowd? It's different...that doesn't mean I like it.

Great to hear Andreas Vollenweider on RP!
But I would much rather hear something from him alone. I notice his album "Behind the Gardens-Behind the Wall-Under the Tree" isn't in the music library. That album is so good! I would upload it, but mine isn't in the proper format.

I love Andreas and I love Ladysmith, but I'm sorry to say on first listen I don't like them together. When I was five I couldn't stand mixed vegetables, but I got over it... "may I be excused, please?"

Man, it has been an African day, it seems. World music mixed in heavily all day long.

Andreas Vollenweider has some pretty cool tunes, taken in moderation. And the boys from Ladysmith Black Mambazo sure help this tune groove right along.

But, seeing as I've lived in both South Africa and Switzerland, I guess I have to like this combination.

Love his sound. Although it has been 10 or 15 years since I last heard
him, I immediately recognized his style.

Loved his "Down to the Moon" CD.

ditto that!

Another amazing example of why it is absolutely impossible to listen to commercial radio ever again!!! (Aside from an occasional foray in listener sponsored radio).......Oh wait.....this is listener sponsored.

Time to make a contribution. HINT HINT

Brilliant!

So good it even made me leave the forums and I'm currently heavily addicted. So far I have only heard this go on a compilation a guy gave me once. Ends far too soon. More please!

Wow! I heard this and immediately checked to see WHICH LBM album it was from...NEVER expected to see an Andreas Vollenweider album! Haven't heard him since "Behind the Gardens, Under the Tree" (or whatever it was called) about 20 years ago...I've seen LBM in concert twice. Never would have dreamed they'd be working together! Nice catch!

Never cared about Andreas, but have seen Ladysmith in concert and found their concert to be a deeply moving experience -- wasn't ready for that -- far more uplifting and inspiring than I had anticipated.
