Or the NJ state legislature's wanting to make Born to Run the state song.

Good tune, not a big fan of his but appreciate it.

And my choice of "dead end" would be Frinton-on-Sea or Shoebryness, both in Essex and the epitome of the phrase.

I love this. But I hate this because it reminds me when I was younger and I'm getting older and I wasn't that young when this was new.

This has to be dedicated to Withernsea, a coastal town East of Hull which could be used as a set for a zombie movie.

What about Hull itself?... in the late 80's it was pretty grim. So was Grimsby... Or, the "beach" at Centre Pier at Blackpool on any rainy morning... any day... not just Sunday.
I digress: it really is a great melancholic work.

This song always makes me think of a day I spent in Biarritz in summer 2005.  Not that Biarritz could be mistaken for a zombie movie set on its worst day, but this particular day was overcast and gray... Sitting on a pier watching the surfers get tossed around in an Atlantic ocean the color of iron.  Good times...

I ran a google street search on that town, and sure enough, the skies were gray (or is that grey - whichever is more British. :-)  )
