   I agree. In fact, I used to really dislike PM until I heard this CD.{#Daisy}

Pat Metheny has released exactly one good album, "One Quiet Night."  The rest are absolute shite.

The Yoko Ono-like wailing has got to stop!..... Yikes -  this song would be great except for that. Very scary.....{#No}

EVERYTIME I listen to this, I bump up my rating! It's on 9 now.

The timing was just perfect... I'm at work, cursing every single person I work with and thinking how much it would suck to come in to work tomorrow (weekend) and then this track comes along to soothe my nerves. Ahhhhhh, it's a beautiful world. :)

Great album, although there are better tracks on it.
Apparently this one was too challenging for many listeners. Expand your listening horizons, kids!

Sorry to be picky, but this is not by the Pat Metheny Group - just Pat Metheny. Been wondering when Bill would play some Pat. Mind you, I own practically everything he has ever recorded in all his various guises. Can't wait for the Metheny/Mehldau date. Why not play some Brad Mehldau, Bill? You could play a Nick Drake track followed by a Brad Mehldau interpretation of a Nick Drake tune - or do the same for Radiohead.

Far too little Pat played on RP...one of the Masters! How about something from "Travels"???

Great to hear Pat Metheny on RP, but find it odd that Bill would play this fairly non-descript piece by the group. Indeed, a review of the total number of Metheny songs (either Pat individually or as the Pat Metheny group) ever played on RP shows that only five have been played on Radio Paradise. As the entire work of Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays is so extensive and rich I would encourage Bill to dig deeper and give us something that showcases Mr. Metheny's guitar talents and Mr. May's piano offerings more than this song does. That's not to say this is bad, but there's better Metheny work out there.

I partly agree with you. I would advise to listen to the whole CD, because this piece is a bit out context. The CD as a whole is beautiful.
But to give a broader view on Metheny's and Mays' work is of course an excellent idea.

Kindly play any collaboration between Pat Metheny and Jaco Pastorius, the Jimi Hendrix of the electric bass.

Thanks to BillG for playing this cut at this moment. The context in this piece is traditional Cambodian music. I brought this CD along when we went to Cambodia to adopt our son. Just before this piece played on RP, I was looking at pictures and info regarding the grand temple complex, Angkor Wat. This is the soundtrack of our "secret story."

Now I'm wondering how many adopted sons from Cambodia there are in the Boston area, since I know one.
