Oh no, here comes the werewolf again. Shame about such an otherwise nice song... 3 instead of 7.

Say what you want about the song, but the production on this number and this whole album is STUNNING. Listen to it loud on a really good stereo and I think you'll agree. Top-notch engineering and mixing

  Totally agree.

These clocks need to stop ticking for a while I say. So sick of this Coldplay tune. There are others I'm sick of too, but this one is in the lead.

This sounds pretty awesome when arranged for, and performed on handbells.

Beck, The Verve and Coldplay classics all pretty much back to back.  A time warp!

I must say Coldplay puts out some very fine music.  Complex, yet very smooth.  I wonder if being married to Gwyneth Paltrow helps the creative process.

well, this song was written BEFORE they got married...

And I - personally - don't care much for their post 2004 musical efforts. He lost his edge after getting married (& rich)...imho. (Most do).

Keeping an artist broke and in solitude: then they might stay at their zenith concerning creativity & significance. Oh, how I loooove "early" Coldplay.

This is a really fine song from a really good album. I dislike people whacking a good tune because the band has had a few soft attempts...These guys did good and should be well rewarded for it. I suspect that they will do well again, once the label has backed off a bit.

I must say Coldplay puts out some very fine music.  Complex, yet very smooth.  I wonder if being married to Gwyneth Paltrow helps the creative process.  I know it would for me.

As far as universal appeal and a timeless theme, this is one of the best songs written in the past 30 years. IMHO.
