Operative work "strikingly." |

I would suggest reading the Wiki page on Poe. Classic tale of an artist getting f*d by the system. |

Sure, tons of production, but what a entirely boring voice. . . .

Had a crush on Annie in college but never had the nerve (she was the artsy girl that always seemed hard to approach for this country boy) ... then fell in love with her music nearly 10 years later when this album was released, which happened to coincide with the loss of my father. Another 10+ years and the music is still moving, touching, and sexy all at the same time. Thanks to RP for giving me something that I continue to enjoy and is still "haunting" (reminds me of the period after the tragic loss of my father). Hope that she finds success fighting the recording industry.

You can take me for a ride any time, Poe. 9 from the smitten Nottingham jury The album as a whole is a solid 10, and very moving, written as it was after the death of her father. I'm not ashamed to admit that I was blubbing as the last track faded away. This woman knows how to write songs and express emotion. The remix of this song with her brother is even better, IMO. His part in that song is a passage from his book "House of Leafs," the book and this album are companion pieces. |
