This is a terrific pop song; I used to enjoy listening to it on FM radio.

This is why I love this station.... I have to respectfully disagree with those who don't like this song.

this song blows. joe's done some good stuff - but not the kind of fodder for this forum I think. it's so blatantly commercial, horrific disco base line, repetative and just blows in general. worst song I've heard on RP so far.

I went to see Joe at a show in Van....beside us was a nice young couple that came to hear this....When Joe did his Volume Four stuff....they got up and left. I felt kind of sorry for them because this always seemed to me to be a commercial attempt at making money from a guy that definitively is not commercial ..I enjoyed the show...vampire or not...he can rock

A great musician with bigger mental problems!

Hear that bass...? Maybe? Maby not...?

Gave this a 9.  The frenetic pace and enthusiasm of the singer is all about young love.  The slow version on the Live 80-86 album is a 10 and quite moving.   I like how he was able to revise this piece to age gracefully with him.

Joe - not one to keep opinions to himself

You know what? This is really worth reading and adsorbing the implications of what he says. Keep an open mind and try to put away all the 'media' you have been subjected to over the years. . .

Yes, he is, but this is a synth bass and drum machine all the way. I'd like to think he had something appropriately tart to say when he heard the song, "Good bass player yer got there..."

Rarely does a Bass player get a chance to come to the forefront in a number so obviously this one is well pleased. Great tune Great lyrics, loved it back when it was released and still love it now.

I'm pretty sure the bass in this song is a synth (Minimoog or Prophet 5).
