For a great LOTR soundtrack you must listen the tunes of 1972 Ralph Bakshi cartoon, even if the quality of animation is quite poor and the story finishes at the half.
I think there are few posts on RP I could ever disagree more wholy with than this... everything about Jackson's version far outstrips anything anyone tried to do in animation in the 70s... Jackson's trilogy is I think film's equivalent of the Eifel Tower, a modern masterpiece on so many levels (including the score)... |

If I remember correctly, this was the song that played during the credits at the end. It may just be on the movie soundtrack however. |

Who, Bruckner? Guess so, cause he's no longer with us. |

Does anyone know who the vocalist is? I was sure it was Bjork when I saw the movie. I'd also like to hear the track (from the Two Tower's soundtrack) with Isabel Bayrakdarian, if I can slip in a request, Bill...

thought it was bjork. Don't really like it in any case. Saw lotr p2, gollum was pretty well done. However I didn't like the movie all that much, too many things compressed in too short of a time.

Not bad (bjork) I'd like to hear more, though.

Sounds like pretentious movie music to me. The soaring violins are much too much - when will they finally quit?

When this first came on (before I saw the song title), I thought "wow, this sounds like some kind of movie score".
Great flick... a friend and I were just the other day trying to figure out who that was singing at the end of the movie.

Wow! How cool is this. I know some folks will hate it, but I'm not one of them. Thanks for playing this beautiful and haunting song. |
