I agree with rockasaurus and the other allied detractors, except the instrumentation is nice. The "singing" voice is not just androgynous, it is tuneless and often cracking. The allusion to Quaaludes seems on target. He sounds like someone singing himself to sleep, someone who is not a professional singer. Maybe, though, I just hate relaxation and it's my fault . . . Will listen to other songs on RP to figure that out!

He (she? ;) ) mentions Tarifa. That's a great little town in southern Spain, almost touching Africa it's so close. Is that his Gracetown?

michael miller's music definitely is a music snob's music. some people just don't get it. i'm glad RP gets it!!!!

I think this song is really cool. Sure he sounds kind of like a chick. Sure it's slow. It's a mood song is all, and I guess if you're not in the mood, well... Maybe it would help if you could picture this song playing on earphones while you're walking down an empty London street at dusk. Seems about right to me .

First time I've heard this one--quite beautiful and melancholy. Not every song needs to "kick in". I love this kind of lazy sound. I sometimes wonder why this song comment thing is even here tho. Who cares what other people think?

Sounded pretty nice when I first heard it but wore thin soon. Now, it's gratingly monotonous. :(
