Antonio Banderas should do another El Mariachi shoot 'em up action sequence to this!

Quite superb. Melodic, dynamic, uplifting, dramatic. Altogether pretty near peerless.

Hawaii Five-O had one of the all-time great theme songs. One of those shows that, even if you didn't like it, you had to watch until the theme was over. Someone should upload it.

I wonder if any bands like Shadowy Men or Man of the Atom have covered it? Seems like a natural for either band.

Jack Lord turned down the part of Captain Kirk in Star Trek to play Hawaii 00000.  Curious and curiouser.

My only gripe about Calexico is that they achieved international notariety so fast, we didn't have very long at all to enjoy them as a local act in Tucson.   Bravo, boys, but It really was kind of frustrating.  There was a brief period when one could see a glimmer of hope that Tucson could develop a music scene, and *poof* it ended.

God, I really love this band. Saw them live a few times now  - they must be touring all the time, or they wouldn't be in Austria (of all paces) every year or two - and they're just all-around good. Great rapport with the audience, great music, and none of the rockstar attitude. If I were in a band, this is how I'd like to perform. They're officially on my "hero" list ;-)

Their new album is getting some great reviews, and I agree it is amazing - but for me, Feast of Wire is their very best.

I have enjoyed listening to Calexico and even have bought some of their music. I also love it when they get together with Iron and Wine. Thanks Wild Bill for another musical turn-on.

I'm not sure about that, but I'm sure that every crappy high school band in the 70's sure did.
