Jesus Pete it's a mystery how I missed this band when they were fresh. Her voice is timeless, as is their lounge-cool sound. (Snapping my fingers on every other beat, behind a pair of dark Foster Grants.)

Speaking of The Tijuana Brass and veering even further away from the topic of the actual song – I was about 8 or 9 years old when my parents took met to see Herb Albert and the Tijuana Brass at the Carter Barron Amphitheater in Washington DC. They were good. But what I really liked was the opening act. Some unknown girl group that went by the name of Diana Ross and the Supremes. They were awesome! I tried to get backstage to get an autograph but security wouldn’t let me. |

Sometimes, and this is one of them, HER VOICE, and that spacey '60s music, sends me to a very very special and groovy place, with shag carpets, black lights, bead curtains, incense, and Formica... I am really loving most of the last hour or more here on RP! Fabulous!

I think not. She's hot. The tune is great too. Mandible wrote: I can't believe some of you are discussing how you think her leg is fat. That's ridiculous. |

Yeah, I knew puberty had hit when that album cover suddenly became a lot more fascinating... This song definitely has a cool-60s feel. Good band. |

I always think of Connery's Bond movies when I hear this album. And yeah, I hear the Star Trek wailing as well. |

Her voice and the whole ambiance of the track is intoxicating—when you connect them to the right imagery ... |

I hear that, along with a bit of the original Star Trek theme. |

I agree - unless they're skin and bones and can't even remember the last time they had a decent meal (you know, the heaving, sweating, skeletonlike variety of women about to drop dead), it's just not worth it (!) |

Interesting segue from Doves - Satellites, in that particular way which I can't quite tell yet whether or not I really like.
