This one should be paired with Thelonious Monk's Criss-Cross (about three cuts back).

Off to see this band with tremendous Australian comedian Tim Minchin at Kew Gardens a week from Thursday.  Myself and an Australian friend were convincing a German friend of ours to come see Tim.  She was almost in anyway and then we looked it up and saw it was a pink martini/Tim Minchin gig.  Our friend is a massive Pink Martini fan so that worked out well for all.  Fingers crossed for a fine evening but waterproofs on standby already because I've lived in the UK long enough to know.

Feels really good, especially while thinking that if all goes as planned and dreamed, in two months I'll be dance Dance DANCING all night to the salsa beats in Cafe Havana and Cafe del Mar in sultry Cartagena, con mojito o jugo de lulo en una mano y la otra mano en la mano de la chiquita mas hermosa del mundo!  Thanks for this, RP!

Between this and Jill Barber's "Measures and Scales"...  I HAVE to learn to play the piano, or at least the upright bass.

I like it a lot, but is it really cheesy? I don't think so, somehow. It has some depth, I think.

It's raining hard here in Brighton - and has been all day long - it's now 18.30.  This track is good to hear in such circumstances - take me to Cuba baby!
