Horrible, terrible, no-good, very bad singing, from his atonal low range to his atrocious "soul"-type falsetto. Is he a white guy trying to sound black? I just want to strangle him and retroactively gag him. A true torture. All it lacked was horns.

To be honest, at first I was a little wary of this track since it seems a bit more "common" than Jeff's usual stylings, but eventually his straight-up honest and pained delivery won me over in time. Now it's one of my favorites from Sketches.

I love how he keeps it stripped-down throughout, even when there are instrumentation and vocal changes. And even when it changes moods, there's this thread of elegant sadness that permeates throughout the song's entirety. Jeff never breaks that to wow you with empty vocal skills as so many contemporary artists would in a song that so heavily features the voice.

Ani, Over the Rhine, Dylan, Radiohead, Cat Power and now this song. What a run. Radio Paradise, oh how I love thee.

This song gives me chills everytime.

Thank You!! Thank You!! Thank You!!

I kind of like Jeff Buckley, but good Lord. This sounds like a song Prince would hump your leg to.

It's even funnier for me because my aunt and uncle had a dog named Prince. :2dancingbananas:

Good song, but not Jeff's best.

Ok, now I'm embarrassed. I HAVE this album and hadn't heard this track. Very different from Grace.

*sigh* I miss Jeff.
