Okay - he's got a rather nasal voice, with no discernable vibrato.  And I like it.  Jackson Browne doesn't have a vibrato, either, and it used to bug me no end, because even I have a vibrato when I sing - but now, I'm not so critical about that.  It's what a song says to me that makes me love it or ignore it.  This song says something to me. Not sure what yet, so I'll need a few more listens. It's very melodic, though, which is a huge plus. And it makes me feel good.

Although they have gone in different directions, I really like both Farrar and Tweedy.  I don't have this album yet though, so really nice to hear a track.

Son Volt reunited, at least temporarily for gigs at the South by Southwest music festival here in Austin last week.

I don't know if they are planning other gigs or not. Sadly, I missed the show!
