Makes me think of the oddball sorts of things played on Dr. Demento.

Oh God, what is wrong today? First a whining Tim Buckley who was VERY hard to take and now this - what IS this? Horrible, yes!

This is cool. It has a strong "Adam and the Ants" vibe to it.

Sounds like a bad Queen song sent through a gibberish machine.

Gotta agree with some other folks. It was an interesting diversion at the begining, but it got old pretty fast. I'll give an "Eh". Bad beat, and dancing to it is boring.

Cool song... Sounds pretty absurd. While googling for a lyrics translation all I found was:

"The third album (Haru-Mamburu) was recorded in 1992 and released early in 1994. It contained the smash hit "HaruMamburu". Lyrics are partially in English , partially in some non-existent language ("Haru-Mamburu" doesn't mean anything in Russian)."

What a totally wacky, exotic song! It's great, since World Music tends to very Serious and Conscious Of Our Contribution To Humanity.

Is that a bear in a tutu?!? Oh jeez, here comes that little guy with the scythe-looking thing again, duck!

Have to say, the comments were good for this one. It is a strange song for the most part, but what the hell makes you laugh so why not. I won't be running around listening to it all the time. Good to be exposed to stuff you can't find on the FM dial.

An escapee from the Dr. Demento vault of really odd songs..Give Bill/Rebecca a round of applause for their daring

Hearing this, I feel like I've stumbled into a Russian folk cinematic adaptation of a lost Fellini script. Some decent vodka and I'd hang here for a bit. Hey, check out that bear wearing a tutu! That midget should watch it with that scythe-looking thing. Pour another one, same as the other one.

This is the first American radio a heard to air a Russian band. You may hate this song, folks, but I tell you, this was a hit in Russia half a decade ago. And I so f.... LOVE it !!! Nostalgia, what can ya do ‘bout it? – nothin’…

I really don't want to like this. But, ummm, I do, dammit. I can see a manic guy pogo-ing his way across the stage shouting out the lyrics. Just... not too often, okay?

I don't know what got me laughing more...the fact that this song is so outrageously bad (but in a fun sort of way), or the comments about it here.

It would have to be VERY late at the pub to be able to understand the words to THIS piece of work.

Is it because I haven't contributed to the station that Bill is trying to chase me away?

Please, have mercy! I'm broke!

I've been trying for a while to find a likeable Russian band. Too bad you can't get their CDs off of Amazon.com.

Their website is nice, though.

At first I think your criticisms of this song are perfectly valid guys, but you, uh.. rated a prince song higher than this. This isn't terrible. I wouldn't mind having more like this.

Probably because prince is better than this-- a lot better. Having eclectic taste is great, tolerating terrible music just to make your taste appear eclectic is just masochistic. I'll take prince.
