Anyone else hear The Doors in there? The End?

His voice is so amazing -- still don't understand fully why he isn't bigger. But I did meet him in person and he wasn't very....in to it. He seemed like he didn't want to be there, that his fans were annoyances.

Pity -- but still love his stuff.

 Jonathan_pa - thanks for the reference. I was trying like hell to place this song. I can remember the sequence when they played this song thinking, "damn, this is good." Watched the credits right through till the end to find out who it was, than did nothing with the information...until now.

First heard this on a surf video called Step into Liquid in full HD with surround. It made the visual experience mind blowing. Great tune!

I have that DVD.  Now I'm going to have to drag it out and watch it.

This band's name 'does what it says on the tin' - a big, vast sound that demands massive amp stacks and volume up to 11. It's not quite the same coming out of laptop speakers, good though they are :(

I assume you mean the literal septic, not the cockney rhyming slang. {#Mrgreen}

I always hate it when DJs talk over the beginnings/ends of tracks. For that matter, I hate it when DJs talk at all. Bill's little natters every 5 tracks or so are fine as they're short and relevant, and he's not got an ego he's trying to shove down our ears. Yet another reason I can't listen to terrestrial radio anymore.  It's either Satellite or RP.

I love that choral part, but why am I so convinced that I've heard it before somewhere else, and ever-so-slightly different?

Soundtrack of "Ghost in the Shell"? At least that's what it reminds me of...

nice to NOT hear some hipster boston dj (wfnx) talk over the ending for dramatic effect like they used to do when this tune was on the radio years ago.

Ahhhhh, that's what that instrument is called!  Thanks — I love that sound too, so haunting and disturbing / unsettling, but in a good way!
