So this is where the intro to yet another Beck piece comes from? Obviously, on RP when a song by Beck (Golden Age) is followed by that of another musician, there may be a connection, in this case the sitar (I suppose this is a sitar). Pretty cool juxtaposition.

Full agreement from the German weather front. And when do Germans and Dutch agree on anything?

I wonder how she got the nickname Bird? Perhaps she has a high metabolism, or perhaps she hops around like a bird, or maybe she doesn't eat much (like a bird) or perhaps she spends the winter down south....who knows? {#Stupid}

In the finale of season 2 of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" she plays a very intersting, and talented masseuse.

{#Roflol} I don't know Rotterdam at all, but if you want seriously dull, take the North Sea ferry across to Hull and spend a wet Sunday afternoon there. You'll lose the will to live. Not that I agree with you on the song which I very much like.

First I have heard of this! I didn't know she sang (big West Wing fan), this is surprisingly good, not because I wouldn't think she can sing, but wondering why I have not heard more of her in the music world.{#Stupid}

You're right. Nominated for an Academy Award for "In The Deep" from the movie Crash.

Most of the songs are included on her CD "Wicked Little High", which is readily available.

I had to resort to a torrent to get a preview of the whole thing. Guess what, some of the MP3s end with Bill's voice saying “That's Bird York on Radio Paradise.” Others seem to be ripped from other radio streams. {#Rolleyes}
‘Luckily’, the album isn't that good that I would want to buy it. I find “Haunting You” by far the best song, some others like this one are good to OK, but the rest is run-of-the-mill.

Sweet enough but unexceptional.  Looks like her cheekbones got her her record deal, not her audaciously envelope-busting musical output.
