Get a grip on reality. Men should become more 'feminine'. At least we'd not be killing wholesale if that were to happen. IMO testosterone reduction pills should be available over the counter in every pharmacy, and should be obligatory for any man prior to using dangerous machinery.
It's misogynist dickheads like you who feed fuel to reactionary radical feminists.

Shaking the Tree & Biko = Gabriel's best ever.
Done lots of great music since then, but these two will live forever.

Decent song but I must've heard it 10,000 times over the past decade — on mainstream radio! With all the airplay he gets on this station I wonder whether Peter Gabriel own shares in Radio Paradise!

ANd, despite what so many women have to say, their lot has vastly improved as well just by the course of men doing what they do best: inventing and creating solutions to problems of human nature and need.
Its easy to say that, historically, humans as a species have a vastly improved quality of life than their ancestors of only 2 generations ago. Just look at infant mortality, life expectancy, population growth, etc. But this doesn't counter the fact that, going forward, are species will have to adapt to unsustainable losses in drinking water, arable land, carbon-based energy, and of course climate change. The interesting and unknowable question raised by this song is, how would we fair as a matriarchal species? Some indigenous societies have been matriarchal and survived quite well, which is what I think Mr. Gabriel is referencing in his song. |

Majority of incarcerated: male. What's with the raging misogyny? What's so wrong with women bettering their lives? It doesn't have to be at your expense, after all. We are all dreaming of a better life. Your very sad little diatribe of (highly questionable) "stats" above only goes to show that men — and of course all of us — could do better, no? |
