You can never go wrong with Unkle. Way of ahead of their time and it still has legs.

Unkle — Be There (w/ Ian Brown)

Nice set for a lazy, rainy evening....(the one I didn't grab: Afro Celt Soundsystem, Onward). sweet...

Would have mistaken them for Porcupine Tree. Is that good or bad? Not a particularly evocative tune. A good lounge lizard fav, though. Hoisting a vodka martini would be pleasurable to this, but I won't be driving down the highway letting this rip at 80 decibels.

Maybe interesting to see how much 6 seconds of music can do, even in this song...

The instrumental version is better, but I give it a nine because Ian Brown is such a funny bugger with his shell suits and enormous sunglasses!

And what's wrong with shell suits and enormous glasses? Eh? Eh? You avin' a pop?

OTB, isn't Ian Brown formerly thereof?

Album was a bit hit-n-miss, but Rabbit In Your Headlights is an immense song with a fantastic video! Love it! This song I'd pretty good too though!

Me too.  I keep hoping he'll put together a band with Noel Gallagher now that oasis are no more.  That would be way cool!

If Ian Brown were good at collaborating with guitarists, Stone Roses would still be together.

It's available via Amazon.com, if you just follow the link via RP.

However, it looks like this version of the song (w/ Ian Brown's vocals) is only available via the "Be There" single, which is selling for around $20. The instrumental of this song is actually on U.N.K.L.E.'s disc "Psyence Fiction", where it is called "Unreal".

Actually, I just found the song on Ian Brown's disc "The Greatest", and the mp3 is available via Amazon for $0.99 (via Zune for $0.79).

Ian Brown bought into his "rock-god" status way too heavily, but I could listen to him sing a phone book.
