Totally hear Dexter. Wonder if Rolfe Kent took inspiration, or the other way around...

Bill, you should play Crumble sometime - a side of these guys seldom seen.  They played it live in Tucson last November - it was fantastic.

Big fan of these guys.  Don't care for this song though.

It doesn't matter how good the song is if the fidelity sucks.  The best song in the world can still sound like sh*t!

This song is really good.  While it played at almost mute level in my office, I almost thought I was hearing the violins play the Edward Scissorhands boy choir part.

I can see the comparisons to Portishead, whom I f-ing love.  This has a finer grit.  Calexico DO it for me.

I'm sure Portishead sang a song that went something like "Give me a reason". Could be wrong, but this has moments where I can hear both songs at the same time.

It's hurting my brain.

"Glory Box". Thanks for pointing out a subtle similarity that I had not noticed, but is clearly evident now.

This one right here is a good place to start. I'd say I even prefer this one to Garden Ruin, though I do like them both very much.

Is this a male or female vocalist? I thought it was Marianne Faithful.

Funny, I thought it was Patti Smith when the song first started. Very nice, though.

I hear you. Although it would be rather close to Hooverphonic then. Not a bad thing at all!!

They've already aged pretty well. I love this.
