I remember seeing her come to my college, she's one of the folk singers I associate with the 90s and have lots of fond memories of. glad she's getting some exposure.

You're not alone. My first thought was "wow, Lucinda Williams learned how to sing!" (decent musician, expressive singer, but not a quality singer).
