The original please. That lives. This one sounds dead. No feeling in it.
Gimme the Roling Stones' version or even better, Bette Midler's

10:28 am - David Byrne - Don't Fence Me In
10:31 am - Buckwheat Zydeco - Beast Of Burden
10:34 am - Old & In The Way - Wild Horses

Today is "strange cover version day" here on Radio Paradise. Coming up in the next half hour, Alanis Morisette sings "Hit Me Baby One More Time," Garth Brooks performs a medly of tunes by Depeche Mode, and we'll finish up with the Sex Pistols' version of "Yummy Yummy Yummy I've Got Love In My Tummy."

lighten up. Performers are not always at the top of their game, and songs don't always have to have deep meaning or solve the worlds problems.

This make me tap my toes and smile, what more do you need?

Edit: it also seems to get bumped up a point every time I hear it.

yeah, but does that merit TWO versions of this pleasant, but, let's face it, marginal ditty?

buckwheat zydeco could instead cover "a day in the life" or bach's "bouree" or ANYTHING, SOMETHING, that's at least slightly challenging.

the stones' version was quite adequate, thank you. let's move on here.

I always liked Buckwheat Zydeco until they came to sing at our "Cajun Food Fest" at the Wichita River Festival last year. They were about 45 minutes late getting onstage, and then the concert was VERY disappointing. I had dragged a friend down there telling her how fantastic Buckwheat Zydeco were. And ended up with egg on my face.

Nice cover.

Have also heard that about Buckwheat -- shows start late, but they rock. Must be a Louisiana thing.

When he's on, Buckwheat puts on one of the best live shows. I lose about 10lbs of sweat each time.
