If a "Classic" is one that holds value and relavance decades later... This is a true Classic... Thank You... There is no place else that has this wide and eclectic mix...and all of it flows together...

This is indeed as good as it gets. (Laziness and being too busy with other more important stuff keeps me from down-rating / reorganizing my other ratings...but I should...) |

I wish there was a higher rating than 10 for songs like this!

Here is a great paradox for you: the people who claim to be most interested in culture are actually the ones who are least interested in culture. (I am not making a case for TV. It's one outlet among many. But AI was a great show for awhile. Not for the same reasons we listen to RP. Apples to oranges. Love culture. Peace.) |

I've always had a soft spot for Traffic's version from Last Exit. Thought it took a bit of moxie for a hip rock band to play Anthony Newley.

Thanks, that explains the 'feel' - they were contemporaries. As was Shirley Bassey.

Also, I know this song thanks to the Muse cover (which is a 10!), but I respect and enjoy Nina's original.
Muse covered this wonderful old tune. Good on them for the respect. |

Glad to see I can still learn something about music from before today...

It's almost sacrilege to say, because Simone is a Godess of song and her version is close to perfection, but... I agree. |

I've never heard of it, except for a few posts on RP song comment pages. |
