Bill, you're purposely giving us something to complain about, right? You know we're not happy unless we get to bitch about something every now and then...

aw come on - this is fun. this would go SO perfectly in a set that included Billy Ocean, Hall & Oats, and perhaps, Rick Astly. How 'bout it???

I just pooped on my computer speakers.

Oddly, it made this song sound better.

When I try to get friends to listen to what a great internet radio station I have listened to for years, it's usually pretty cool. But then something like this comes on, I want to crawl under a very large and heavy rock. 8-<

No... you had it right the first time... this is a poop on song.

It is very strange but I kind of like this and I am not sure why. This is the sort of song I would normally say it is to poop on. Go figure.

Barf!
Doesn't belong here. There's a reason that it's a 4.

The original was bad, the remake is bad. RP often playes remakes, some of which change or improve on the original. This is just not one of them....

Of course this isn't the best song but lets appreciate the diversity of RP. I for one like to hear chessy songs every once and a while.

Makes me want to get back on the dance floor with my cousin V. at his daughter's FABULOUS wedding last night!

When was this song originally released? It is such pure 80s, yet I take it it's more recent than that. It certainly sounds like a FYC ripoff (unless London Beat has that adorable lead singer from FYC moonlighting for them) I'd agree that I was surprised to hear it playing on RP, but even though I'm not nuts about the song, that's what I love about RP! Never a dull musical moment!

This song evokes the early 90s and elementary/high-school dances for me. For that reason, I have to smile when hearing it, even if it's kinda crappy.

The chord progression is interesting, but the lyrics are pure sentimental cheese. A much, much better choice from a similar style would be New Order's "Regret," or Pet Shop Boys "Go West"---something with more genuine camp and more substantial lyrics. The more acappella material at the end is just restating over and over again, and isn't musically taking this song anywhere

Instead of butchering really good classic songs, why doesn't Nike buy this one and change it to "I've Been Thinking About Shoes?"

Switch off the annoying beat machine and this song could actually be quite good. Like that, it just gives me a headache. It's like constant pounding on the head with a very, very heavy hammer.

Yah. Seems like I should be devouring a "Death by Chocolate" while listening to this. Oh, that's Bennigan's.

ARe you listening???
we ALL agree. This is pure disco crap that is already overplayed on commercial pop stations. It has NO business on a classy station such as RP!!!!
Take it off the playlist please!!!

FWIW, This song had a lot of trouble getting airplay on a lot of stations because its not by a formula band. It was a little too complex, but I guess the kids will respond to the lyric, if it's repeated 100X (as usual )

I welcome the occasional diversion to keep RP eclectic. And there's SOOO much worse crap out there!

I disagree. In order for RP to be RP, they need to play songs like this every once in a while.

What to remind us that at any moment they could turn into a bad radio station? It's not like this song represents some kind of diversion from what you could hear anywhere else. RP is supposed to be an oasis from this drivel. Perhaps this is a fund-raising ploy...
