Why did Ween name their album ''Quebec''? Was it recorded there?

Lollapalooza 2011: Q&A with WeenQ: You mentioned Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon earlier. Who are some of the musicians that influenced and inspired you? I've read the Beatles and Frank Zappa helped influence your music. A: Well, when I was a kid I had influences like the Beatles, not so much Frank Zappa but more Mothers of Invention, stuff he did before he went solo I really liked. I listened to a lot of stuff, but I think when Ween formed I was really into the synthesizer New Wave thing of the mid-eighties and Mickey (Melchiondo, aka Dean Ween) was more into the punk-rock thing. At that point we kind of exchanged music with each other, and that mixed together and made Ween. But, I like to say I'm influenced by ... well ... there's really no school of music or anybody in particular ... I think there's brilliance in all genres. I'm not picky. I think a good song is a good song, no matter what it might be.

Well, Bradford goes one better - they have the Telegraph and Argus. So  to all you soft Southern jessies. Ween is perhaps one of the most misunderstood bands ever. Fantastic songs, great playing, they are far from a 'joke' band.
