Saw these guys in concert last night, after catching the Pixies, Weezer and just before catching the end of the Kenny Wayne Shepard set. wøøt!
They were all great shows, with the highlights being the Pixies and DCfC. Not that I'm diss'n KWS or weezer, but I did wait 14 years to see the Pixies again.

Actually, Bartelby.com defines "namby-pamby" as,
"1. Insipid and sentimental. 2. Lacking vigor or decisiveness; spineless. "
Interpret that how you will.
It doesn't seem to mean sharp, cutting edge or controversial. For most people it means lousy, crappy, cruddy, not worth discussing further, etc.

I've dissed DCfC on all their other songs in the playlist, so it's only fair that I post here to say this is pretty good. Sounds less namby pamby than their other cuts.
