I love Cathy Davey's voice, "Cold Man's Nightmare" from "Somethign Ilk" is a fave too, shame the rest of that album didn't quite live up to it.

I find the singer's voice rather annoying, and lyrics like "dumb dumb" seem...juvenile.  If those things were changed, the song could be great IMO.

I think it must be Cathy Davey.
She is one of three listed female vocals on the bands homepage.
Somewhere she was listed as composer, but i cant find that page again.

It's so great to get exposed to all this new, previously unknown music through RP....but through RP I have also gotten to know how many Bjork-soundalikes there are out there. Man!! It's too much!!
And while Bjork is the original (as far as I know, right?) and therefore more tolerable, all these soundalikes sound like they're 10 years old which is kinda annoying.

i liken "bjork" as the emperors new clothes.
there is nothing there,
yet i still feel strangely attracted to her.

i mean that in a good way, BTW

I've always enjoyed the song, but when I first it I thought that I'd eventually get tired of it. Never have though, still an 8 for me.

It sure it. Have no earthly idea what the heck she's saying (except that it appears to be about a "jellyman"), but that doesn't seem to matter much.

I had a friend in the UK buy it for me. Complete waste of time and money. This is the only decent cut on the CD.

And, by the way, "jelly" to the Brits is Jell-O to us Yanks.

Wrong, this CD is great. And there are even better songs on it, like "out of this" or "postscript"!

A catchy tune that rises above generic. Feel-good and warmly energetic. This is the kind of music I'd put on a playlist with the intent to motivate me to do things. Any things.
