This has a very special color to me : reminds me of Pierre Desproges, French humourist, when humour meant something else than just making fun of people. He used this tune as a generic music for his radiophonic show "Chronique de la haine ordinaire" in 85 or 86. He once said to Le Pen, "One can laugh about everything, but not with everyone". He made a wonderful and very accurate criticism of BHL, the national self proclaimed philosopher, just after the latter received a cream tart on his face and started to punch the man responsible for that once he was held on the floor by his personal guard...

Agree with the below comment that this remake for the best of is inferior to his original version. In fact had to reduce my rating after noticing that it was not the original version. Still a great tune.

I first heard this tune in a terrific German movie by director Sandra Nettelbeck, "Mostly Martha" (actually, its original title is ""Bella Martha", which translates from Italian as "Beautiful Martha").  I highly recommend this excellent movie.  It would be worth watching if for no other reason than its bouncy soundtrack, which includes many more gems like this one, perfectly married to the narrative.  Kudos to Bill and Rebecca for adding this song to the RP play list!

A word of caution:  If you can't understand spoken German, you'll have to read subtitles to supplement your understanding of the movie's visual story line.  So, if you're a subtitle snob, don't bother!

Yeah, I'll have some chips. Got any dip with them. And, a beer would go well with that.

One of my favourite italian singers ever... try his first album (1974) too! Very different, but amazing anyway!
