This is a wonderful CHRISTIAN song.
Well said, "religion" has always been the same, it is a political construct to control others. Faith that rests in the hope of Jesus Christ and Him alone is very different. Very different. |

I almost fell out of my chair here...realizing this was Jars...on RP... then I reread Revelations for the umpteenth time to see if this was somehow mentioned...

This just sounds like good music to me however...

Good cover art. Clear, quiet sound — all you need for almost an autumn evening..

The one truly subversive aspect of Rock, or in other words, the only thing that ever really mattered about it politically, was that it helped foster an independent mind. This is the only way we can break free from religion. Even a band like U2 - a religious band - does a service in this respect. Rock does not matter in any other utilitarian way. Rock is beautiful though, and that's no small thing. |

Still an awesome tune after all this time. It came on and I said. "this is a great tune". Then I said. "Jars of Clay on RP"? "Wow, this is what makes RP great, they will play excellent music regardless of genre.....and that's why I listen to RP".

Listening to RP and this song comes on - I message my daughter (who is a pretty devout Christian) through GMail chat while she is at work saying "Hey Jars of Clay on RP" her reply....." see, not all christian music is terrible just most of it" |

This is the first time that I've heard this song in about 10-11 years. My sister loved this album, and used to play it all the time, so I immediately recognized the intro. Music has an amazing power to bring back such an amazing flood of memories with just a few notes.

Convinced of my deception I've always been a fool I fear this love reaction Just like you said I would
A rose could never lie About the love it brings And I could never promise To be any of those things
Separating ourselves from labels or genres, this is a beautifully written song.
