Dude. It means something quite different 30 years on ... or 40.

I was 17, a friend had loaned it to me, I was working as a 'management trainee' at the TD Bank and I brought the accountant, who was about 28 home for lunch and played it for him twice. It sllpoke a new language.

I paid 99 cents for a used copy of this on vinyl when I was 13. Good Times indeed.

I MP3 should be regarded as a crime against music, much like Jimmy Page's re-mastered(fuckingup) of later albums. Mothership is an abomination. Celebration Day Blue Ray is excellent, the CDs not so much. |

The ratings don't, but this song goes to 11.
And yes, it is the best debut song EVER.
..haha!..wonder if it'd blow his mind as much as it did/does ours..??.. |

Agreed. I find this to be a flawless album. I don't think they ever achieved that again. Everything after this one always seemed to have one or two gold leafed turds on it, along with eight or ten jaw dropping, spine tingling, ear popping songs that defied gravity, space, time, and reason.
I loves me some Zep!
I agree as well, except that I'd say although it was one of their best musically, not their best lyrically. |

I speculate that the standard deviation of my ratings of Led Zeppelin songs exceeds that for any other artist. This is a 9, as are many others (Since I've Been Loving You, Ramble On). But plenty of 2s as well (Kashmir, In the Light). I wonder if I can data mine my ratings? I wonder what artist has the highest standard deviation of ratings over the entire RP ratings issuing listenership?
