Definitely.  Nice catch.  Good song, by the way. I'll give it a 6.3.

Do you ever work with an otologist?  They might do some sort of "sonic" tests.

Thanks again RP.  As a New York I of course know of the band.  Hell I even own one album and saw them live opening for Pearl Jam.

I've read 100 stories where they were mentioned.  Yet I did not own this fantastic piece of rock and roll music.

Until about 20 minutes from now when I leave work and head over to J&R music and buy this.

Thanks

from that first gooney bird with evol in my walkman the day 9th grade ended, all the way to today; it's been an expressway of sonic truth

To me the Youth have a stripped of all the "B—- S——" quality to their music. Pure and straight rock band. No pretense and no BS. Magnificent.

Just went from 8 to 9 because it gets better every time I hear it. I think if I heard it too much I might get burnt, but for now, I love it!

Awesome band!   I can't think of many others who have consistently grown more varied and interesting well into the second (third?) decade of their careers.  Of many many live shows I have seen, Sonic Youth have always been outstanding.

So where's the lyrics about "nurse good body" and some personalized bed-side manners?

Aren't nurses part of the top three male fantasies?

When I bought this CD I only really liked 2 or  3 songs. The more I listen to it the more I like - there's really only one song I skip over much anymore. Such a great CD! "Pattern Recognition" walks a wonderful fine line between harshness and beauty.

Have to agree with my Copenhagen friend...
Not a bad tune, but the lame singing kind of kills it for me.

This is good. But so is that McMurtry stuff. Really good. I for one don't know how anyone can work to RP! I get too distracted by the songs and my efficiency plummets. But I do have fun.

Are you trying to work, too? Gosh, it's the reason I show up now, so I can hear RP. Bill, you've saved my employer from having to fill my shoes, and you should be congratulated. Actually, I get more done because I'm in a good mood!

Oh this music is so sweet. Especially when there is no singing.
