Channeling Donovan.

It sounds like a pretty traditional, arpeggiated-chord, acoustic guitar, folk-based chord progression to me, which Donovan often employed, but we all hear different things.  Nice little tune.

Sounds like a Hollies track, without the harmonies. This is tedious though.

It's a great song.  Mostly real Shins fans will appreciate it.  Most others won't.

This song has really grown on me. It soothes me much more now than it used to annoy me before.

A lovely tune.  Not as amazing as many Shins songs, but peaceful.

I usually like The Shins but that just kills this song for me.  It sounds like a relentless rock crusher running a few blocks away.

Sounds like someone breathing into the mic. Disturbing...

Surprising amount of whining in the comments for this one. It's very far from my usual styles, but I gotta say it's actually pretty nice, particularly paired with 'Dear Prudence' as often seems to be the case...

John Lennon is / was a hard act to follow - this Shins tune does it nicely

The guitar melody reminds me of the music from "Cool Hand Luke."

They played this song at their recent concert in Richmond.  They did a 3-part harmony on the chorus that just blew the place away.  I mean, it was musically spot on both in the pitch and timing.  Fantastic.
