That's the point - the lyrics are supposed to be subversive (like much of the Cardigan's library). If you just hear the song and don't listen to the lyrics it sounds kind of happy-go-lucky. The song is about a nation falling to war and supporting death and destruction just so that it's not staying still. |

If you have young daughters, then you'll have an idea, whether you like it or not. I actually think Kelly's got a gift for singing; she just got caught in the machine. As she tries to break free from Clive Davis, maybe she can meet some new people or a decent band or songwriters and find something more interesting to do. |
