I saw two different Interpols: one in their own concert in a small place, an excellent, vibrant and flawless performance - a great show with an energetic audience; the other at U2 concert: apathetic, scared (maybe), uncomfortable band - the audience (most of them) were indifferent to their show - they were just waiting for U2 - and the place was HUGE.

What I guess is they don't have the same (good) feedback from the audience in the U2 concert compared to their own event and that reflects on their performance.

This is a pretty decent album.  One track really stands out on it in my mind, and that is NYC.  Not played on RP though.

Hadn't heard that one in quite a while. This just went from an 8 to a 9.

I've really liked their albums - I'll have to give them another chance live. Glad you saw a good show; it sure is disappointing when things backfire!

Saw them last weekend and I thought they were great! They played a good mix of new and old and it was a long set. They don't do a lot of jumping around and such - NYC cool I guess - but I really enjoyed it.

i agree. the simplicity and the brief appearance of lyrics is one of the things i like most about this song. it leaves it up to the listener to do most of interpreting about the "surprise." crazy... i was just listening to this song not two hours ago!
