As I was listening to this I thought "Somebody probably wrote in to complain about baby-voiced women" as I've seen that elsewhere on RP, and you guys didn't let me down. Get over it! Singers have all kinds of voices and this isn't an affectation, that's just her voice! The variety of voices is one more reason that keeps me coming back to RP. Keep playin' 'em Bill!

Say what else you will about her, I can't imagine seriously using "baby-voiced" to describe Amy Winehouse. |

No, I don't hear this as "baby-voiced" at all. |

I find that I often recognize songs that Bill plays as being by this artist, and I quite enjoy them. Perhaps that means I should get myself one of their albums. |

This song is great. I was pretty disappointed when I downloaded a bunch of her other stuff though. Sounding like a bratty little kid is only cute for so long....

This is positively awesome. The girl's got a great voice, that is for certain. And I always love a good clarinet. |

She is actually extremely stage-shy, and does not dress as hot for live gigs at ALL. Also a hard live act to catch. I hear she is a mom now. Bummer :)

I was part of something similar back in the 80's.
Went into the newlywed's apt (while they were on honeymoon)...
When they got back, the bride had been hold'n it in for a long drive and really needed the bathroom. Of course, the room was stuffed floor to ceiling with paper balls (crunch up newspaper, toss it in, it expands, repeat). You could barely budge the door.
After being exposed to that and all the other pranks, they finally went to bed and were glad it hadn't been short-sheeted.... we had laid down a thick layer of cornflakes between the bottom sheet and the mattress.
At the end of the movie/musical Oklahoma they give one to Curly and Laurie. |
